Riding Safely, Building Community: Kenny Ross Subaru’s 2nd Annual Bike Safety Rodeo a Huge Success!

We had an absolutely fantastic time recently at our Second Annual Bike Safety Rodeo held at Oak Hollow Park! It was a day where fun and essential safety education rode side-by-side, and we couldn’t be prouder of the positive impact it had on the community.

This year’s event, hosted by Kenny Ross Subaru, brought together incredible collaboration from local businesses and organizations. Their partnership helped us create a truly engaging and informative experience for all the families who joined us. Young riders enthusiastically tackled various bike handling skill stations, practicing crucial maneuvers like navigating obstacles, scanning for vehicles, and safely merging from driveways.

Safety is always our top priority, and we were fortunate to have the experts from Pro Bike + Run on hand. They shared invaluable bike maintenance tips and ensured every helmet was perfectly fitted. Their dedication to promoting safe riding habits, through detailed inspections of every bicycle, truly made a difference.

The event simply wouldn’t have been the same without the tireless efforts of our volunteers. The fantastic folks from Friends of Norwin Trails actively guided attendees through the stations, making sure every child had a positive and educational experience. And a big thank you goes out to the North Huntingdon Township Police Department, who were there to ensure all safety guidelines were followed, providing a secure environment for everyone. Plus, Lunch Lady on Wheels kept all our participants and volunteers energized with some delicious food!

This year’s Bike Safety Rodeo was more than just a day of learning; it was a wonderful celebration of community spirit. It fostered safer habits among our children and, equally important, strengthened the bonds within the community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making it such a memorable and successful day – a day where children were encouraged, their achievements celebrated, and valuable life skills were instilled.

Thank you again to everyone who came out and made it such a fun evening! We’re already looking forward to our next community event.
