Calling all future cycling champions! This summer, Kenny Ross Subaru teamed up with the North Huntingdon Township Police Department to throw an epic Bike Safety Rodeo, and it was a blast!
Kids got to test their skills on a five-station course, learning how to dodge surprise obstacles, scan for sneaky cars, and merge safely out of their driveways. Basically, everything they need to become confident, little cycling stars!
But that’s not all! After conquering the course, participants were entered into a drawing to win one of two brand new bikes with helmets, courtesy of North Huntingdon Walmart. Bonus points for looking sharp – Borah Teamwear donated some awesome cycling gear too!
Pro Bike + Run was there to ensure all the bikes were in tip-top shape and helmets fit perfectly, just like a pit crew for these little champions. They even had a photo booth set up to capture those “I conquered the rodeo!” moments.
The best part? Hearing how much fun the kids had and how parents appreciated this free community event. A huge thank you to the Friends of Norwin Trail for volunteering their time and the Lunch Lady on Wheels for keeping those little engines fueled with yummy food.
The organizers are already excited for next year’s Bike Safety Rodeo! Want your child to join the fun? Follow our Facebook page to stay in the loop about all upcoming community events. See you there!
