The frosty grip of winter has descended on southwestern Pennsylvania, bringing wind chills that could steal your breath away. For those experiencing homelessness in Pittsburgh, it’s a season of brutal hardship. But this year, Kenny Ross Auto and John Sisson retailers are teaming up again with Light of Life Mission to bring a little warmth and hope.
This isn’t our first time partnering with Light of Life. For the second year running, we’ve opened our doors to become donation hubs for essential winter gear. Our customers and team members stepped up in a big way, filling our stores with warm clothes – a testament to the generosity of our community.
Light of Life Mission is a beacon of hope for those facing homelessness. What began as a simple soup kitchen in 1952 has blossomed into a vital resource center. They offer emergency shelter, hot meals, laundry services, mental health support, and even long-term programs to help people get back on their feet. Some who’ve been helped by Light of Life have even found employment within the mission itself, a powerful story of transformation.
