At Kenny Ross Subaru, we’re all about giving back to the community we love. That’s why several times a year, our dedicated employees lace up their boots and volunteer their time with the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter (WYTC) of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP).
In the past, we’ve helped with tasks like trimming trees and keeping the trail clear of debris. This year, our team tackled a fresh coat of paint on the new fence at the King Trail Head in West Newton.
The WYTC is powered by an incredible group of volunteers known as the “Over the Hill Gang.” These folks tirelessly maintain the trail, ensuring a beautiful and welcoming experience for both locals and visitors exploring the GAP.
Speaking of exploring, the King Trail Head has a fun surprise for history buffs: an old train car you can climb into! Plus, there’s a handy gift shop and restrooms nearby for your convenience.
Want to learn more about the WYTC? Maybe you’re interested in volunteering or attending an event? Head over to their website at bikewytc.org for all the details.
Here at Kenny Ross Subaru, we’re proud to support the WYTC and their mission of keeping the GAP a treasured community asset. We encourage everyone to get out and enjoy this scenic trail – it’s a wonderful way to spend a day!
