Winter in North Huntingdon can be tough, especially for families facing hardship. Imagine a child braving the cold without a proper coat – a reality many experience. At Kenny Ross Cares, we believe in the power of community support, and we’re dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our neighbors.
This year, we were thrilled to partner with Operation Warm, a national organization committed to providing warmth and resources to children in need. Through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, Kenny Ross Subaru, along with other retailers, has contributed to helping nearly 900,000 children and adults nationwide. We’re proud to be a part of this incredible effort.
Our local outreach took a special turn on January 23rd when we teamed up with Beverly’s PGH to distribute brand-new winter coats to local children. The day was filled with joy as kids got to pick out their own coats, choosing from a variety of colors and styles. The excitement was contagious! Beverly’s PGH generously warmed hearts and hands with delicious hot cocoa, while we provided coloring pages and stickers to add to the festive atmosphere.
A warm coat is more than just protection from the elements; it’s a symbol of care and can significantly impact a child’s self-esteem and well-being. Knowing they have a warm coat can allow children to focus on school, play, and simply being kids, without the constant distraction of the cold.
